Apr 7, 2023 | Fun Fold Cards, Paper Pumpkin

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!  A group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have gathered together to provide alternate project ideas featuring the Paper Pumpkin kits.  Continue reading to see the projects I made for the hop, find links to the blogs of the other blogs, and learn more about the next kit (April 10th is the last day to subscribe – details at the end of this post).

PPX Blog Hop

Today’s hop features the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – 10 Years of Growth.  This kit came with materials to make 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs.  I used pieces from one of the cards and made a fun fold card.

Alternate Project Ideas

Tri Panel Fun Fold Card

To make this fun fold card, start with an Orchid Oasiscard base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and score at 2″, 3-1/8″, 5-3/8″, and 6-1/2″ on the long side.  Fold along the score lines so that the two side panels tuck under the center section (and meet in the middle on the backside).

Use three pieces of Fresh Freesia cardstock to decorate each panel on the card front.  The pieces measure 5-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ for the left panel, 5-1/4″ x 2″ for the center panel, and 5-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ for the right panel.  If desired, emboss each piece with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder before gluing it to the card base.

For the center panel, fussy cut around the window image card base from the kit.  Adhere this piece to the center panel of the card.  Then, decorate with the kit elements, similar to how the card is designed in the kit.

For the back of the card, stamp the sentiment on a 5-1/4″ x 2″ piece of White cardstock (or use the remaining kit card base that you cut the window image from).  Then adhere this stamped piece to the center section on the back of the card.
