Bubble Over Swap Cards!

Feb 4, 2018 | Cards

If you follow me on Pinterest (@mackenziemakes) you may have seen a stack of cards I made last month for our team swap featuring products from the Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration (SAB) brochure.  I sent my 26 cards in and got 26 different cards back in return.  And, they are all beautiful!  Today, I am sharing my card and how to make it using the Bubble Over stamp set and coordinating products.  It features a modified version of the Eclipse Technique.

For the card base, cut a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, and fold in half (at 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side).  Cut two 5-1/4″ x 4″ pieces of Whisper White cardstock.  Take one of the white pieces and stamp the sentiment centered along the bottom with Calypso Coral ink.  Take this piece to your Big Shot and lay both bottle shapes on it, angled toward each other just above the stamped sentiment, then run it through to cut out the bottles. After the bottles are cut out, stamp the bubble image with Bermuda Bay ink just above the empty bottle spot.  Then adhere to the card base.

Sponge Lemon Lime Twist ink on both bottle pieces, stopping just before you reach the top of the bottle.  Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add some sparkle and smooth out the color.  Stamp the star image twice with Calypso Coral ink on a scrap of white cardstock, then punch out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch.  Adhere a circle to each bottle, then adhere the bottles to their corresponding spot on the card using the Foam Adhesive Strips (Stampin’ Dimensionals will work just as well, I just liked that the Foam Strips are a little thicker so the bottles popped up more).  If desired, add a few of the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes to the bottles and bubbles.

For the inside of the card, adhere the other 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Using the bottles in a row pattern from the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper pack cut a strip just above and below the bottle design.  Cut the strip down to 4″ across and adhere to the bottom of the white piece inside the card.
