When the end of an annual catalog comes around, I am always sad to see some of the In Colors leave. With this year’s recent Color Revamp, I was excited to see that Flirty Flamingo wouldn’t be leaving for good. It was reintroduced as a color in the Brights Color Collection. This week’s color is all about Flirty Flamingo. Keep reading to see how it compares to some of the other pink colors Stampin’ Up! offers and some combinations using this color to inspire your creating. If you want to see all the other color posts I will be sharing throughout the year, head over to this section of the blog.
Make sure to follow along here on the blog or on my Instagram and Facebook pages. I will be using the hashtag #makewithcolor throughout the year when I share color projects and combinations and ask that you join in too! All you have to do is tag me (@mackenziemakes) and use the #makewithcolor hashtag so I can see what you are sharing. I’m so excited to bring you color inspiration all year long!
COLOR COMPARISON
Flirty Flamingo is a nice pink color, not as bold as Melon Mambo but brighter than Powder Pink and Blushing Bride.

CARD INSPIRATION
For this week’s card, I went with pink on pink with a touch of gold for the embellishments. Find the instructions below.
For the card base, use an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored and folded at 4-1/4″ on the long side. Create a patterned background by stamping the circle image from the Balloon Celebration stamp set all over with Flirty Flamingo ink. On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment with Flirty Flamingo ink and punch out with the Pretty Label Punch. Cut a length of the Gold Mini Sequin Trim to loop around and attach to the back of the punched out piece. Attach this piece to the card with a few Dimensionals (added over the trim to help hold it in place). Add a few gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack around the sentiment piece.
I hope you are excited to get making with Flirty Flamingo! Next week we will take a look at the color Old Olive, so don’t forget to follow along here and on social media. I look forward to seeing what you make, so please tag me (@mackenziemakes) and use the hashtag #makewithcolor when you share on social media.
Happy making!
