I know it doesn’t seem like much for Merry Merlot in the Annual Catalog, but there are some beautiful items (like DSP and ribbon) using this color in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  Let me know if you need a catalog (Annual and/or Holiday).

Card Inspiration

When designing this card, I needed something lighter to pop off the deep Merry Merlot color.  So I added some Petal Pink and a Pearlized Doily for some added depth.

The card base is a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Merry Merlot cardstock, scored and folded at 4-1/4″ on the long edge.  Take a 5-1/2″ x 3″ piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and run it through the Big Shot twice with the Lovely Floral Dynamic TIEF.  The first time, position the piece so it embosses one end, and then rotate it to emboss the other end.  Adhere this embossed piece to the card base about a 1/4″ from the left edge.

Stamp the double line banner image from the Banners for You stamp set on Whisper White cardstock with Petal Pink ink.  Stamp “HAPPY” on the top line and “ANNIVERSARY” on the bottom line, both with Merry Merlot ink.  Die cut this piece with the matching die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  Also die cut a circle from some Petal Pink cardstock using the third largest circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

Adhere the Petal Pink circle on to a Pearlized Doily, then add to the card with Dimensionals.  Wrap a length of Copper Metallic Thread around your fingers a few times and adhere to the back of the banner piece so some of the thread is peeking out from the top.  Repeat this process to have some at the bottom.  Add this piece to the circles with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, add a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.
