Easter Message Card Featuring Star of Light

Apr 13, 2017 | Cards

I am so glad the Star of Light stamp set was carried over from the 2016 Holiday Catalog (you can see the Holiday carryover list here).  For today’s card, I paired this set with the beautiful Easter Message set from the current Occasions Catalog.

Aren’t these two sets beautiful?!  I used the swirl from the Star of Light set and the Bible verse from the Eater Message set on the Wisteria Wonder card layer (stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink).

I layered the stamped piece onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant and attached both layers to a Crumb Cake base.

I stamped the cross image on white cardstock and colored the cross with the Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen.  I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the cloth.  If you look closely, you can just make out some sparkle on the cloth (and on some of the stars).

The cross was then cut out and attached to the card using Dimensionals.

This card is definitely one of my most favorite cards I have created.  I’m sad to see that the Easter Message stamp set is being retired at the end of May, but there are more great stamps and products coming our way soon!  To learn more check out my previous post.

I hope you have a blessed Easter!
