A couple weeks ago, I shared a banner inspired by St. Patrick’s Day. Today, I have yet another banner, this time for Easter. Instead of going with the traditional “Happy Easter,” I made this banner to say “He is Risen.” The crosses from the beautiful Hold on to Hope stamp set in the 2018 Occasions Catalog are a great addition to this banner.
I made the base of the banner the same way as my other banners. Click the following links to see the other banners and for more instructions: Thankful Banner, the Merry Christmas Banner, and the Blessed Banner. I used Basic Black cardstock and the colorful striped pattern from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. The colors of the stripes work really well with the Easter decor I already had from previous years.
To decorate, I used the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies to die cut all the Basic Black ovals. I stamped and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder the cross image on Basic Black cardstock. Then die cut with the coordinating framelit. For the letters, I stamped each with Pool Party ink on Pool Party cardstock, and die cut out. I adhered the ovals in the center of each banner section, then added the letters and crosses with Dimensionals.
Just like with my other banners, I punched a little circle about a 1/4″ in from the top two corners and strung the banner sections on some leftover Jute Twine from the Holiday Catalog.
I am really enjoying making banners for a variety of holidays. Are there any banners of certain holidays or themes that you would like to see featured on my blog? If so, please contact me.
Happy making!
