I got my March Paper Pumpkin kit last week and was able to create some fun projects with it right away. It is an Easter theme kit with some cute bunnies to make cards and little treat bags. I used the kit to make some of the intended projects and then added a few other supplies to create some other fun items.
The first project was making these cute bunny bags. I used all three ear color options to make my bags and filled each one with a handful of small chocolates. And, don’t forget the cute little pompom on the back.
The cards in the kit are a mini 3″ x 3″ size. Like the bags, I used all three color options to make these cards. They were super easy to make, stamp the bunny face, add the ears, and tie the twine around.
Now on to the alternate projects made with this kit. This set of cards features Easter eggs instead of a bunny. To make the eggs, cut apart three of the card bases and use the full pattern side to punch out 3 big balloons and 1 small balloon from the Balloon punch (a photo of how I got 4 punches from each 3″ x 3″ piece is below these card photos). To turn the balloons into eggs, use a pair of Snips to trim off the little tail to get an egg shape. Taking the other (non-cut) card bases, stamp the greetings at the bottom. Then, adhere 2 eggs to the card base using SNAIL and the third egg using Dimensionals. Finally wrap some twine around and tie in a bow.
The next two cards are standard size and use the other pieces from the card bases cut for the previous cards.
The card below uses the 3″ x 3″ patterned frame piece with a bunny face stamped on it. Stamp the greeting on the bottom right of the card base. Adhere the square piece at an angle on the left side. Add the 3 small egg just above the greeting, with the middle egg popped up with Dimensionals.
This card was made with the other two square pieces layered on top of each other (the top one attached with Dimensionals). To make the flower, stamp the bunny ear 7 times on Very Vanilla cardstock. Color in with the Watercolor Pencils and blend with the Blender Pen. Use Snips to cut out the ears/petals and wrap each one around your finger a little to give it some curl. Add a little bit of SNAIL to the bottom of each petal to attach to the card in the center with the other end curling up off the card. Use the Glue Dots in the kit to add 3 pompoms to the center of the flower. Stamp the greeting on the banner piece and attach with Dimensionals.
The cards are too cute to go in a plain envelope, so don’t forget to use the stamps on those. I stamped bunny ears on a few and pulled out some ink pads (Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum, and Peekaboo Peach) to stamp the eggs on the others. I stamped the eggs all across one of the bags and used it to hold 3 pairs of cards and envelopes.
My final project was making treat bags using the 2″ x 8″ Cellophane Bags. The topper is a 4″ x 2″ piece of Very Vanilla, scored at 2″ on the long side. Stamp and decorate with bunnies and eggs. Once the bags are filled, staple the top closed and adhere the topper to both sides.
