I am in love with the new Stitched Shapes Framelits! They are so fun and simple to use to create beautiful shapes for your cards. The pack includes 12 framelits dies, 4 each of circles, ovals, and squares, all of varying sizes. Each one gives a nice stitched look around the edge. Now that I’ve had a chance to play with them, I want to show you some cards using the different shapes. Take a look at all the photos below and see the Stitched Shapes in action.

It’s hard to tell, but I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits on the two pieces of Designer Series Paper. This pattern is too busy for the “stitches” to show well, but I’m sure other, more subtle, patterns would work great with the framelits.
The stitched rectangle is created by die cutting only 3 edges (top, bottom, and one side) of the square framelit on the first pass through the Big Shot machine, and then sliding the framelit over to die cut 3 edges again (top, bottom, and the other side). The top clear plate in your Big Shot “sandwich” is positioned so that it does not lay on the edge that is not to be cut. I’ll work on writing a photo tutorial and/or making a video showing how that is done and hopefully be able to explain it better.
Aren’t these stitched shapes awesome? It gives a special touch to the projects and really enhances the finished piece. Want to play with your own set?
