I’m back with some fun ideas for using the November 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit – Wonderful Winterland. The intended cards are really nice, but a bit too small for my liking when it comes to Christmas cards. So my alternate card ideas feature the kit elements on a regular sized card base. Take a look below to see what I made.
Card 1
This card is the intended card from the kit. It’s hard to tell, but there is a piece of vellum behind the house and tree die cut pieces, and above the stamped snowflake images.
Card 2
This one uses a Soft Sky card base and a Dapper Denim layer under the pieces from the kit.
Card 3
This card is very similar to the one above, only reversed. The die cut pieces are turned the other way, and the trees are colored with an Aqua Painter (instead of from the coordinating stamps in the kit).
Card 4
For this card, I cut down one of the envelopes to use behind the die cut pieces. The white box made a perfect spot to stamp the sentiments. I stamped the snowflake image many times on the edges of the card base before adhering all the layers on.
Card 5
This last card is a shaker card using some of the sequins in the kit and some Soft Sky ones from the Holiday Catalog. I trimmed down the die cut pieces to fit inside the shaker frame.
I hope these ideas inspire you to get creative with your Wonderful Winterland kit. If you don’t know what Paper Pumpkin kits are, click here to learn more and sign up.
