We are already halfway through October, which means we are halfway through the Designer Series Paper (DSP) sale. For every 3 select packs you purchase, you will get 1 FREE! Each Sunday in October, I am sharing a One Sheet Wonder template and this week I have 2 templates to share. To see the first week’s template click here, and to see the second week’s click here.
For this set of cards, I used two sheets of DSP and cut according to my templates to get 24 pieces from each sheet. You can find the two-page One Sheet Wonder template (along with the other templates I’m sharing this month) in my Make With Me Library. If you do not already have access to the Library, sign up for free here. Like I mentioned before, make sure to note the pattern orientation of the DSP sheet you choose to use.
I started with two sheets of Candy Cane Lane DSP, six sheets of Crumb Cake and Real Red cardstock for the card bases, and six sheets of Whisper White cardstock for the main layer.
The card bases are 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (folded in half on the long side), the white layer pieces are 4″ x 5-1/4″, and each sheet of DSP was cut according to the templates.
Using the Triple Banner Punch, punch the bottom of all the DSP pieces.
On the bottom right corner of the white pieces, stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink. I chose the “wishing you a sweet season” stamp from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set. Over part of the sentiment, stamp a small image in Crumb Cake ink, stamped off (meaning ink your stamp and stamp on scrap paper first, then on your project before reinking – this gives a lighter color image). I used the star image from the same set as the sentiment.
Once the stamping is done, it’s time to adhere everything to the card bases. Adhere the white piece by centering it on the card front. Next, attach the longer banner piece about a quarter inch from the left edge and aligned at the top of the white piece. Then, add the shorter banner piece by overlapping it on the longer banner piece.
By using these One Sheet Wonder templates, you can make a big stack of Christmas cards in an afternoon. You could use the same patterns I chose for this project, or switch it up with some of the other papers in the pack…or you could use papers from our other DSP packs to make a stack of cards for any occasion. Share with me your creations on social media using #makewithDSP so I can find your creations. Make sure to check back next week for another One Sheet Wonder template and card ideas.
If you would like to order any of the supplies used here or any of the items currently on sale (all listed below) use this Host Code: QHMDVBQ3 (only for October 2016) so I can send you a special thank you.
