There are some great Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs in the current Annual Catalog. For the cards in this post, I used a sheet from the Magnolia Lane DSP. Instructions
To begin, cut your sheet of DSP according to the measurements in the template. Keep track of what number each piece is to match up with the right card instructions below. All cards in this set use the same measurements for the card base. Cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock, score at 4-1/4″ on the long side, and fold in half to form the card base. To make assembling easier, punch out 10 labels with the Pretty Label Punch. Use the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set to stamp a variety of sentiments on the labels with Memento Black ink.
Card 1
Adhere the larger DSP piece #1 to the top of the card base with a 1/8″ border along the top and sides. Adhere the smaller DSP piece #1 to the bottom with a 1/8″ border along the bottom and sides, but flip it over to reveal the backside of the pattern. Cut a 4″ piece of the linen ribbon from the combo pack and adhere along the line where the two pieces of DSP meet. Add the sentiment piece over the ribbon using Dimensionals.
Card 2
Adhere the DSP piece #2 to the card base just over a half-inch from the top. Loop around about 16″ of the linen thread and adhere to the back of the sentiment piece with Snail adhesive. Use Dimensionals to add this piece to the card, towards the bottom of the DSP.
Card 3
Adhere the DSP piece #3 to the card base with about a 3/4″ border along the top and bottom. Cut a 3″ piece of the linen ribbon and fold in half. Adhere it to the back of the sentiment piece so the ends are poking out from the bottom. Use Dimensionals to adhere this piece towards the bottom of the DSP piece.
Card 4
Cut two strips of Basic Black cardstock to 5-1/4″ long. Punch each strip with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Adhere the strips to the larger DSP piece #4 on either side so the scallop edge is showing, and so the tops are all even. Adhere the smaller DSP piece #4 (flipped over to reveal the other pattern) to the strips so the bottoms are all even. Add this layered piece centered across the card. Cut a 4″ piece of the linen ribbon and adhere it to the card where the two DSP pieces meet. Add the sentiment piece over the ribbon using Dimensionals.
Card 5
Cut a 2-3/4″ x 3″ piece of Basic Black cardstock and cut it diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Adhere the DSP piece #5 to the two black triangles so that there is about a 1/4″ border around. Add this piece to the card base about 1/2″ from the top. Cut a 12″ piece of the linen thread and loop it behind the sentiment piece. Add this to the center of the DSP piece with Dimensionals.
Card 6
Adhere the DSP piece #6 to the left edge of the card base. Loop around about 16″ of the linen thread and adhere to the back of the sentiment piece. Adhere this piece centered across the card with Dimensionals.
Card 7
Adhere the DSP piece #7 centered on the card base. Cut a 12″ piece of the linen thread and loop it behind the sentiment piece. Add this towards the bottom of the card base with Dimensionals.
Card 8
Adhere the DSP piece #8 towards the bottom of the card base with a 1/4″ border along the sides and bottom. Cut a 4-3/4″ piece of the linen ribbon and adhere along the top edge of the DSP. Add the sentiment piece over the ribbon using Dimensionals.
Card 9
Adhere the DSP piece #9 towards the top of the card base with a 1/4″ border along the sides and top. Loop around about 16″ of the linen thread and adhere to the back of the sentiment piece. Adhere this piece towards the left side of the card with Dimensionals.
Card 10
Adhere the DSP piece #10 centered on the card base. Cut a 3″ piece of the linen ribbon and fold in half. Adhere it to the back of the sentiment piece so the ends are poking out from the bottom right. Use Dimensionals to adhere this piece towards the top left of the DSP piece.
