How are we halfway through October already? That means we are halfway through the Designer Series Paper (DSP) sale – Buy 3 packs of DSP and get 1 FREE! I love our Designer Series Paper packs. They are full of great patterns, some bold and some more subtle, but all beautiful. One Sheet Wonder templates are a great way to use the great designs on your cards.
I’m sharing One Sheet Wonder templates this month, and today’s template features one of the 6″ x 6″ DSP stacks. I chose to use the Wood Textures stack, which includes 12 different double-sided designs.
The template for this set is One Sheet Wonder Template #8 and can be used to create 5 unique cards. If you cut down a sheet of 12″ x 12″ DSP to 6″ x 6″ squares, you could get 20 cards (4 each of the 5 designs) from that one sheet. For this set of cards, I chose one of the lighter colored wood plank patterns. I used Garden Green cardstock for all the card bases and added some Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake cardstock for layering and for making the coffee cups. I enjoyed using the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies for last weeks cards, that I pulled them out again for this set. Only this time I paired it will the Merry Cafe stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. This set has a variety of sentiments for many occasions and great accent images to decorate the coffee cups.
Card 1
For this first card, adhere the 2″ wide strip of DSP to a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with about a quarter inch of Vanilla showing on the left side, then add to the card base. To make the cup, use Early Espresso ink to stamp the cup outline and snowflakes on Garden Green cardstock, the lid outline on Early Espresso cardstock, and the sentiment on Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut each piece and glue together. Attach to the card with Dimensionals.
Card 2
To make this card, stamp the coffee cup, lid, and leaves on a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with Early Espresso ink. I colored in the leaves with the Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry markers, but you could stamp the solid leaf images with those ink colors instead of using the markers. Add the long 1″ strip of DSP to the left side, with about a 1/8″ of the vanilla showing, then attach to the card base. Stamp the sentiment on Garden Green cardstock and die cut. Add it to the coffee cup with Dimensionals.
Card 3
Similar to the previous card, stamp the coffee cup and lid on a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I also stamped one of the other foliage images inside the cup and colored with the Cajun Craze marker. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and punch out with the Classic Label Punch. Cut the ends of the 1″ x 3″ piece of DSP to make the ends similar to the punched out piece. Adhere the DSP piece to the card, then add the punched out piece on top with Dimensionals.
Card 4
For this card, add the Very Vanilla cardstock layer to the base, then add the 4″ x 3″ piece of DSP centered on the Vanilla layer. To make the coffee cup, use Early Espresso ink to stamp the cup outline, sentiments, and holly berries and leaves (colored in with Garden Green and Cajun Craze markers) on Very Vanilla cardstock, and the lid on Early Espresso cardstock. Die cut both shapes, glue together, and add to card with Dimensionals.
Card 5
The final card uses a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, with the last DSP piece added centered towards the bottom. To make the coffee cup, use Early Espresso ink to stamp the coffee cup outline on Crumb Cake cardstock, the lid on Early Espresso cardstock, and the sentiment on Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut all pieces, glue togther, and add to card with Dimensionals.
