Today’s post is here to show you the final card I made for my online class last month featuring the Ornate Garden Suite. This suite is available now as an early release from the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalog (which goes live on June 3). You can check out the first card here and the second card here.
This card features the Ornate Borders Dies and the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) as the main layers. The Ornate Thanks Stamp Set was used for the sentiment on the front and the Ornate Style Stamp Set was used to decorate the inside. The Terracotta Tile ribbon in the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack was used for the bow poking out from the sentiment. And a few Gilded Gems add some sparkle to the card.
When using the border dies that give a delicate edge, it helps to adhere it by sponging Multi Purpose Liquid Glue on the back. Squeeze some of the glue onto the Silicone Craft Sheet and pick it up with the sponge. Dab the glue gently on the back of the die cut layer, being careful not to slide the cardstock otherwise glue could get onto the front. Once the glue is sponged all over, press the layer onto the card front to adhere.
